Nichols Defense Tactics

— NPR's Mark Roberts reports from Denver on defense tactics this week in the murder conspiracy trial of Oklahoma City bombing defendant Terry Nichols. Nichols' lawyers are emphasizing two arguments: portraying their client as a family man who is incapable of committing such a crime; and focusing attention on convicted bomber, Timothy McVeigh, blaming him and others unknown for the April, 1995 bombing.
