Christmas Pardons

—- NPR's Joanne Silberner reports that President Clinton granted 21 pardons for federal offenses this year. All the citizens have reformed their lives since committing their crimes...which ranged from mail fraud, to bank robbery, to cocaine distribution. The pardons do not clear their records, but do return most rights, like the right to vote. The President now has pardoned 74 people.
