State Campaign Finance Reform

— NPR's Steve Rosenfeld reports on new state laws that reform the rules governing how political candidates can raise money for their election campaigns. In state after state this year, campaign finance reform laws have taken effect, that were either passed by state legislatures or approved by voters last year in ballot initiatives. There is consideraable resistance to the reforms, notably from `Right to Life' groups around the country.
