Medicare Under 65

—Janet Firshein reports that Congressional Republicans already oppose President Clinton's Medicare expansion proposal. The plan, to be formally announced today, would allow people younger than retirement age to take part. Health insurance is very expensive in the few years before 65. Under the Clinton plan, people would still pay premiums, but they would be lower than commercial imsurance.
