Ssi Fraud

— NPR's Melinda Penkava reports that the government yesterday announced a huge case of welfare fraud in Georgia. A local psychologist helped several generations of a family recieve a total of a million dollars in Supplemental Security Income — SSI — payments. Diagnoses of deafness, mental retardation and other disabilties helped family members qualify for payments. Investigators found them healthy.
