Teamster Election Hearings

— NPR's Don Gonyea reports on House hearings into last year's Teamsters Union election, in which incumbent President Ron Carey, narrowly defeated James Hoffa, Junior. Federal observers have overturned the election results, amid allegations that funds were illegally diverted from the Teamsters' treasury to the Carey campaign. A new election is scheduled for January.
