Reno Testifies

—- NPR's Nina Totenberg reports on Attorney General Janet Reno's full day of testimony yesterday before the House Judiciary Committee. The Attorney General responded to repeated questions about why she hasn't requested an independent counsel to investigate Clinton-Gore fundraising during the 1996 election campaign. She refused to discuss particulars of preliminary investigations the Justice Department is conducting into the fundraising activities of both the President and Vice President.
