Campaign Finance: Allegations

— NPR's Peter Overby reports on the latest allegations by Republicans that the Clinton-Gore Campaign and the Democratic National Committee broke the law in raising money for the 1996 election. Republicans on the Senate committee investigating 1996 campaign fundraising point to the newly released White House videotapes as evidence. They say that President Clinton is seen telling contributors to the Democratic Party how they helped his re-election campaign, which is supposed to be a separate entity with strict contribution limits.
