The Market Plunge

— NPR's John Ydstie reports on the decline in stock prices during yesterday's sell-off on Wall Street. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 7161. That's a record 554 point decline for one day... Twice yesterday, trading was suspended by a circuit breaker that was introduced after the huge single-day plunge in stock prices ten years ago this month.
