Trends In Office Design

— NPR's David Molpus has the second of three reports on new trends in office design and the thinking that goes into them. At a conference in San Jose, California, office equipment makers exhibit their latest products, including a mobile desk that allows workers to move from one space to another within the building. In striving for greater efficiency and effectiveness in the work process, new management styles require more flexibility. Work spaces need to accomodate more teamwork and be adaptable to rapid advances in technology with fewer barriers to internal communication.
