— NPR's Ann Cooper reports from New York on the reception President Clinton is likely to get today, when he addresses the opening session of the United Nations General Assembly. Other countries have been highly critical of the President for refusing to agree last week to an international ban on anti-personnel landmines. And, Ted Turner's announcement that he'll donate one-billion dollars to UN projects over the next ten years was an embarrassing reminder that the US still owes the UN one and a half billion dollars in dues.
