—Host Bob Edwards talks with Robert Pitofsky, Chairman of the Federal Trade Commission. The FTC recently concluded a study of the tobacco industry's multi-billion dollar settlement with the state attorneys general. A section of the proposed settlement would legalize price-fixing and exempt tobacco companies from some anti-trust regulations...which would lead to billions of dollars in profits over the next two decades.
