— NPR's Mara Liasson reports on President Clinton's week-long trip to South America, his first to that continent since taking office. In visits to Venezuela, Brazil, and Argentina, the President plans to highlight the progress the region has made in removing trade barriers, restoring democracy, and improving its human rights record.
