North Ireland Cease-Fire

— NPR's Michael Goldfarb reports on the first full day of the renewed cease-fire in Northern Ireland. Sinn Fein (shin fane), the political wing of the Irish Republican Army, called the truce over the weekend. While this opens the possibility of Sinn Fein participation in peace talks, Protestant groups want the IRA to give up its weapons first.
