Isuzu And Acura Off The Hook

— NPR's Jim Zarrolli reports that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has decided not to investigate the safety of two sport utility vehicles: the Isuzu Trooper and its clone, the Acura SLX. The two were the subject of a Consumer Reports article that concluded they tip over easily during sharp turns. Federal investigators say it's difficult to prove whether rollover accidents are the result of unstable vehicle design, or improper driving.
