Ny: No Cameras In Court

— NPR's Melissa Block reports that New York State has joined three other jurisdictions that do not allow cameras in its courtrooms. Opposition to television coverage of proceedings comes from a coalition of defense lawyers and victims-rights advocates...the lawyers think cameras undermine defense testimony and the victim's rights proponents feel exploited by exposure.
