Tabacco Negotiations

N-P-R's Adam Hochberg reports on continuing talks between tobacco companies and the states that are suing them. The negotiators are nearing a compromise on a key matter: the future liability of the manufacturers. The companies want immunity once a deal is struck, but anti-tobacco forces don't want to give up their right to seek damages in years to come.
