—- NPR's Brian Naylor reports that the House approved the budget outline early this morning. The chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee introduced an amendment to add $12 billion to infrastructure spending. The amendment cut other spending and tax cuts to keep the budget in balance, but was termed a deal-breaker by Congressional and White House leadership. It was defeated, and the budget resolution was approved in its original form.
