The 'Megan' Case

—- NPR's Melissa Block reports on Hamilton Township, New Jersey, the hometown of Megan Kanka. Outraged residents are following the trial in Trenton of Jesse Timmendequas (tih-MEN-dih-kwiss), the twice-convicted sex offender charged with killing Megan. The killing prompted many states to pass so-called Megan's Laws, which requires authorities to inform communties when a convicted sex offender moves to the area.
