Protecting African Elephants

-- N-P-R's John Nielsen reports the debate over funding for the protection of African elephants has reached the United States. Many conservation programs in Africa are supported by selling big-game hunting licenses. Animal welfare groups say these programs are created to benefit hunters and not protect wildlife. The U-S Congress is expected to discuss whether America should continue to fund such programs.
