Long Distance & The Fcc

N-P-R's Jim Zarroli reports that the Federal Communications Commission plans to change the rates local telephone companies charge long distance providers for access to their lines. The plan results from the new telecommunications law enacted last year. It's expected to lower overall telephone bills for consumers with one phone line and raise bills for those with more than one line.
