Peter Kenyon Reports That Alexis Herman

sailed through her confirmation hearing yesterday for Labor Secretary. The Senate Labor Committee is expected to vote on her nomination after Congress's Easter recess. Herman heads the White House Office of Public Liason, which drew criticism in helping set up one of the infamous "coffees" with President Clinton.
