Brian Naylor Reports The House Of Representatives Will Vote Today

on a measure that would allow employers to give workers comp-time instead of time-and-a-half wages for overtime hours. Both parties have picked up the argument for comp time as a family-friendly measure. Organized labor and some Democrats are against the Republican proposal before the House. They say it will give employers too much power. After pushing the idea in the State of the Union address, President Clinton is working on his own comp time proposal.
