Dean Olsher Reports That The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra

is being pressured to admit female musicians...something it hasn't done during its 155-year history. Women's rights groups have organized letter writing campaigns, and plan to picket the orchestra's tour this March in California and New York...but they doubt that women will ever be allowed to play. The issue will be decided in mid-February, when orchestra members take a vote.
