Fierce fighting between the Lebanese military and militants at a Palestinian refugee camp in Tripoli, Lebanon, escalated on Monday.

The fighting started on Sunday, and dozens have been killed. The Lebanese government says members of the Fatah Islam militant group have ties to al-Qaeda and are hiding at the camp.

Rami Khouri, editor-at-large of The Daily Star in Beirut, talks to Madeleine Brand about the conflict.
