Alex Chadwick Discusses Airline Safety With Alfred Kahn,

who handled the de-regulation of airlines during the Carter administration. Kahn points out the Valujet crash was the first ever involving any of the dozens of discount airlines which resulted from deregulation. He also says that air travel has increased substantially since deregulation, with lower prices and improved safety.
