All Things Considered hosts Robert Siegel and Linda Wertheimer talk with Robert Dallek, a professor of history at Boston University and the author of "Hail to the Chief: The Making & Unmaking of American Presidents" and "Flawed Giant: Lyndon Johnson in His Times, 1961-1973." Together, Dallek and the hosts attempt to place today''s events on Capitol Hill in historical perspective, talking about the impeachment proceedings against Andrew Johnson and the situation that confronted Richard Nixon before his resignation. They also talk about House procedure in the debate over the articles of impeachment. (Note: "Hail to the Chief" is published by Hyperion Press; "Flawed Giant" is published by the Oxford University Press.)
