Former Gonzales Staffer Prepares to Testify
The controversy over the fired federal attorneys is heating up this week.
Monica Goodling, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales' former White House liaison, is scheduled to testify before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform on Wednesday.
Goodling was involved in the firings of the U.S. attorneys, which Democrats say was politically-motivated. Justice Department officials say the prosecutors were fired for poor performance.
Dahlia Lithwick with the online magazine Slate talks previews the testimony for Alex Cohen.
