Rott 'n' Roll is the latest album by Grayson Capps and his band The Stumpknockers, which comprises electric guitarist Tommy MacLuckie, bassist Josh Kerin and drummer John Milham. Capps grew up in an Alabama small town, where music first permeated his life through jam sessions hosted by his father and his friends. While at Tulane University in New Orleans, Capps formed two moderately successful bands, The House Levelers and Stavin' Chain.

Upon graduation, Capps took to a vagrant lifestyle that informs most of his solo material, including the songs "Give It to Me" and "Ike." An unbridled energy and authenticity informs his Southern Gothic-style story songs as he sings about trains, hound dogs, prostitution and pirated utilities.
