NPR senior news analyst Daniel Schorr says that President Clinton will have to perform a balancing act when he goes to China this week. While China has played a role in defusing the Asian financial crisis and is fast becoming an powerful world player, the President must address the concerns of Congresspeople and activists who want a tougher U.S. position on Chinese human rights issues and China's role with worldwide weapons proliferation.
