Clinton News Conference

President Clinton avoided answering questions about the Monica Lewinsky investigation during a press conference today. He refused to elaborate on previous explanations of his relationship with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky. Clinton used his opening remarks to warn congressional Republicans that he would not accept haphazard tax cuts or spending programs, now that America is experiencing an "economic renaissance." NPR's Mara Liasson reports.
