Saddam's Stature

While the U-S may maintain that Saddam Hussein has suffered a setback because of his diplomatic reversal of policy, the Iraqi leader has declared the matter a victory over the U-S. He claims that the crisis triggered by ordering Americans off the U-N arms inspection teams focused world attention on the harm that seven years of sanctions have imposed on the Iraqi people. NPR's Eric Weiner reports from Cairo.
