NPR's Joe Palca reports on the nation's preparedness for a flu pandemic. From time to time, highly lethal strains of flu arise which are able to kill hundreds of thousands — or even millions — of people. Are we ready to react if one of the strains starts spreading rapidly across the country? Some experts say no.
