Hiv Numbers

Marcia talks with Peter Piot (PEE-ott), the executive director of UNAIDS...the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS. They discuss the new report released by UNAIDS and the World Health Organization which shows that infection with HIV is more widespread than previously believed. By the year 2000, if the current rate of 1 infection per 100 adults is maintained, then 40 million people will be infected with the virus.
