NPR's John Ydstie reports that economists and business executives are beginning to view the crisis in Asia more seriously. As the problems in South Korea have continued and intensified, corporations large and small are recalculating earnings prospects for the coming year. The news for American business isn't all bad, though. Many will be paying less for parts and raw materials in coming months.
