My Soul To Keep

Miami Herald columnist Tananarive Due (tuh-NAN-uh-reev DOO) has a second novel of horror-fiction...reviewer Alan Cheuse says that it's a gripping story with some surprising twists and interesting characters...including an immortal academic with a gift for writing about jazz. Though the prose is sometimes heavy-handed, he says it's still a wonderful read. (STATIONS: "My Soul To Keep" by Tananarive Due is published by HarperCollins.)
