Today is the birthday of Adolphe Sax, the inventor of the saxophone. It's also the birthday of John Philip Sousa. We honor both men with music throughout the program, performed by the Washington Saxophone Quartet, along with a conversation with Rich Kleinfeldt about the saxophone and marching bands.
