Marcia speaks with Robert Freedman, president of Baltimore Hebrew University and author of "Soviet Policy Toward the Middle East Since the Invasion of Afghanistan," about Russia's relationship with Iraq. Freedman talks about the personal and financial involvement that Russia has with Iraq. He also says that both Russia and France feel that they need to have a sphere of influence in the Middle East.
