Linda talks with retired Colonel Harry Summers, who writes a column for the Los Angeles Times. They discuss several issues surrounding land mines, including why they're effective weapons, and why they're still in use. There are ways to use mines lawfully and safely, and Summers will talk about how essential landmines are to military defense. They'll also discuss his opinions on the landmine ban and his take on the rejected amendment that the US offered to the United Nations.
