NPR's Joanne Silberner provides the latest details on the recall of 1.2 million pounds of beef. That recall was ordered last week by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Using new procedures, scientists have been using DNA to track the source of the contamination. But the USDA says it's still too soon to say how exactly the beef became contaminated with E. coli bacteria.
