Breast Implant Suit

Linda talks with NPR's Debbie Elliott about today's decision in the nation's first class-action lawsuit concerning breast implants. A jury ruled today in New Orleans, Louisiana, that the Dow Chemical Corporation failed to properly test silicone for use in the human body, and that the company concealed the dangers of silicone implantation from women and their doctors. Damages in the case will be decided in the second phase of the trial.
