NASA released details today of the planned spacewalk aboard the Russian space station Mir, now scheduled for Friday morning. As NPR's Joe Palca reports, the cosmonauts have practiced the maneuvers necessary to open the hatch to the disabled Spektre science module, and they appear to be prepared for the difficult internal walk into the depressurized areas of the space station.
