Brcko Fighting

NPR's Edward Lifson reports from Banja Luka, Bosnia, on one of the most serious confrontations involving NATO Stabilization Forces and Bosnian Serbs. The forces...mostly United States troops...were attacked by crowds. Two U.S. servicemen were hurt. The S-FOR troops were trying to step between two factions...forces loyal to Bosnian Serb President Biljana Plavsic (PLAHV-sitch) trying to take over police stations, and people loyal to the former president Radovan Karadzic (KAHR-ah-jitch) trying to stop the takeover.
