Lebanon Travel

NPR's Ann Cooper reports that the United States today lifted its ten-year-old ban on travel by Americans to Lebanon. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said there is less threat to Americans in Lebanon, and the Lebanese government has given her assurances it will do more to fight terrorism. At the same time, Albright urged Americans not to go to Lebanon, saying it is still too dangerous to visit.
