Today, the Commerce Department announced consumer prices rose a mere .1% last month, another indication that inflation is, if not dead, in a deep coma. There are lots of explanations for this phenomenon: the globalization of the economy; growing efficiency due to technology advancement. Economists don't agree on what's keeping inflation at bay, but it's good for everyone.
