Ray talks with Dr. Danny Penman, an environmental writer and broadcaster in Britain. He covered the libel case brought by the McDonald's Corporation against two British citizens for the Independent and Observer newspapers. Today, a judge ruled that an unemployed mailman and an unemployed barmaid owed McDonald's 188,000 dollars in damages for libel. The two had handed out pamphlets claiming that McDonald's was partially responsible for the destruction of the world's rainforests, and promoted unhealthy eating habits.
