Tomorrow at the United Nations Yugoslav War Crimes Tribunal, the highest-ranking man charged with crimes against humanity goes on trial. Tihomir Blaskic (TEE-oh-meer BLAHS-kitch) was a Bosnian-Croat militia general in command of men who are alleged to have mistreated and murdered Muslim civilians in central Bosnia. Gillian Sharpe reports from The Hague that the case is important for this tribunal because it is the first trial of a career military officer.
