Senate Judiciary & Tobacco

The Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing today on the tobacco settlement. Congressional action is required to implement much of the deal between the industry and state attorneys general. The Judiciary Committee chairman, Senator Orrin Hatch, promised a fair examination of the agreement, but warned that there are arguments to consider for and against it. NPR's Elizabeth Arnold reports.
