Campaign Funding
NPR's Mara Liasson reports on the mood at the White House after the 1994 Republican election victories, and how it helped shape President Clinton's re-election campaign. A key element of the strategy was devised by consultant Dick Morris, who recommended that the airwaves be flooded early and often with T.V. commercials. This drove the need for unprecedented fundraising by the president and the Democratic Party.
