Subpoenas & Cabinet

President Clinton said today that his administration will provide any documents investigators ask for concerning donations that might have come from illegal sources. The president also says the White House made a mistake in allowing a Chinese gun dealer to attend a presidential event, although Mr Clinton says he doesn't remember the man, and the visit didn't affect policy. The president made the comments at a news conference during which he disclosed his final cabinet choices. Mr Clinton announced new secretaries of Housing, Energy, Transportation and Labor. He also said he has asked the current secretaries of Agriculture, Veterans Affairs, Education and Interior to stay on. NPR's Mara Liasson has a report.
